The Story
Tanzania became home.
Cliona first came to Arusha in 2023.
She kept coming back.
Eight more visits followed, and somewhere along the way Tanzania became Nyumbani — home.
This January, she is bringing a small group with her. There will be 10 guests at most, with Cliona leading the expedition and a professional photographer travelling with the group throughout.
It is a week built around good places, good company and having enough time to enjoy where you are.

Arrive in Arusha

Arrive in Tanzania and settle into Arusha.
Overnight: Njiro Legacy
Arusha
4 January
A day in Arusha with Cliona. Explore the city, experience some of its local character and get to know the group.

Tarangire
5 January
Drive from Arusha to Tarangire for a full afternoon in the park. Elephants, baobabs and the wide landscapes of northern Tanzania.
Overnight: Conserve Safari Lodge
Southern Serengeti
6 January
Continue towards the southern Serengeti. Arrive at camp and begin exploring the plains.
Overnight: Nasikia Mobile Migration Camp
Southern Serengeti
7 January
A full day in the southern Serengeti. An unhurried day in the bush, with time to follow the wildlife and the landscape.
Overnight: Nasikia Mobile Migration Camp
Ngorongoro
8 January
Travel from the Serengeti towards Ngorongoro. Game drive in the crater before continuing to Karatu for the evening.

Cliona’s first trip to Arusha was in 2023. Eight visits later, she still keeps finding reasons to return. Tanzania became Nyumbani — home — and this expedition brings together some of the places and experiences that have made her fall for the country. She will be with the group throughout the journey.
