Hotel β†’ Mti Mkubwa Camp
Drive to Londorossi Gate and hike through dense montane forest to Mti Mkubwa camp. Wildlife β€” including buffalo, elephant and colobus monkeys β€” is common in these Lemosho Glades.

Mti Mkubwa β†’ Shira 1 Camp
The trail steepens through giant heather into open moorland. You cross Shira Ridge and drop gently down to Shira 1 Camp by a stream, your first night on the plateau.

Shira 1 β†’ Shira 2 Camp
A gentle hike across the open Shira Plateau. A variety of short side hikes are available, making this an excellent acclimatisation day before the route steepens tomorrow.

Shira 2 β†’ Barranco Camp via Lava Tower
