Tanzania has 22 national parks, but most first-timers focus on the Northern Circuit. Here is the classic lineup:

• Serengeti — The crown jewel. Endless plains, Big Five, and the Great Migration. Minimum 2-3 days.
• Ngorongoro Crater — UNESCO caldera with the densest wildlife population on Earth. One full day is standard.
• Tarangire — Elephant herds, baobab trees, and excellent birding. Perfect for 1-2 days.

Safari accommodation falls into three tiers: permanent tented camps, lodges, and mobile camps. Permanent camps offer comfort in the bush with proper beds, hot showers, and dining tents.
