Getting there
3-4 hours from Arusha, often visited as a day trip from Karatu or Ngorongoro area. Best combined with Ngorongoro and Serengeti itineraries.
The Hadzabe Experience
The Hadzabe are one of the last remaining hunter-gatherer tribes in Africa, with a way of life that has remained largely unchanged for thousands of years. With fewer than 1,000 remaining members, they speak a unique click-language and live entirely off the land — hunting with bows and arrows, gathering wild fruits and honey.
A visit to the Hadzabe is not a staged tourist performance. You will join them on early morning hunts, learn about their tracking skills, and understand their deep connection to the bush. It is a profound, humbling experience that offers perspective on our modern lives.
